Pleasanton Man Dies in Crash on Stanley Boulevard Sunday

Officials with the California Highway Patrol are investigating the cause of the fatal collision.

PLEASANTON, CA: A 25-year-old Pleasanton man was killed in a single-car crash on Stanley Blvd. near the entrance to the quarry early Sunday morning, California Highway Patrol officials said.

According to CHP officials, the driver likely lost control of his car in the area near the Livermore/ Pleasanton border, colliding with a metal pole just before 2 a.m. Officials say he died at the scene.

The crash closed traffic lanes on Stanley Blvd. for about two hours during the investigation. Officials did not release the name of the driver. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
