Pleasanton Residents Eligible For Free CERT Training

Registration is open for the seven-week LPFD CERT course, which will provide trainings in fire safety, medical operations, and more.

PLEASANTON, CA — The Livermore-Pleasanton Police Department is once again offering free Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training, which will provide the public lessons in fire safety, earthquake preparedness, disaster medical operations, and light search and rescue, among other lessons.

The course will last seven sessions on Thursday evenings from April 20 to May 25, and will include a lesson on Saturday, May 13 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Classes will culminate in an LPFD and CERT drill.

Courses will last from 6 to 9:30 each Thursday at the the City of Pleasanton’s Operations Service Center and and the LPFD training grounds on Busch Road in Pleasanton. They are open to residents of Livermore and Pleasanton aged 16 or older. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
