PLEASANTON, CA — Pleasanton police arrested a woman they say was driving under the influence when she got into a solo crash that injured her dog.
On Thursday, Aug. 17 at around 1:15 a.m., Pleasanton officers responded to a solo car crash on Stanley Boulevard. Officers say they found a dog with “significant” injuries to its face and legs. Police say field sobriety tests reveal that the driver was not only under the influence, but was also carrying a fanny pack with over 50 grams of meth and 60 grams of fentanyl.
The driver was arrested and taken to Santa Rita Jail. A relative took the dog in for medical treatment. Police did not provide further information on her identity.
