Pleasanton First Wednesday Street Fairs Come to an End
Today's last First Wednesday features the classic 70s and 80s rock band Finding Stella.
Summer is coming to an end but there's still time for a last fiesta with today's final First Wednesday Street Party.
Civic and community organizations and over 150 vendors will be lined up on Main Street for the last time starting at 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Finding Stella, this months' featured band, will play 70's and 80's classic rock music at the Beer and Wine Garden located in the Round Table Parking lot.
Patrons of the Beer Garden must be 21 or older. Beer options include Anheuser Busch, Trumer Pils and micro-brews from the Main Street Brewery. There will also be wines from Hidden Creek Wine, Retzlaff Winery, and Fenestra Winery.

"Around 10,000 to 20,000 people have been participating in each of the Street parties over the past ten years," said Alisha Perdue, event coordinator of the Pleasanton Downtown Association. "The downhill economy has not affected people's participation in the event at all, it is actually a free event, there is no admission cost so people can enjoy free live music and have fun."
New principals and vice principals will meet with community members at the Pleasanton Unified School District booth located in front of Christesen's Tack Room.
The new administrators include:
- Jim Hansen, principal, Amador Valley High School
- Terry Conde, principal, Hart Middle School
