Pleasanton Students Awarded 2019 National Merit Scholarship
Here's the list of local students who will receive $2,500 scholarships.
PLEASANTON, CA — Seven Pleasanton students will receive a $2500 National Merit Scholarship. The teens were chosen from a pool of more than 15,000 finalists in the 2019 National Merit Scholarship Program.
The students and other California winners were judged to have the strongest combination of accomplishments, skills, and potential for success in rigorous college studies. The number of winners named in each state is proportional to the state's percentage of the nation's graduating high school seniors, according to the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC).
The scholarships may be used at any regionally accredited U.S. college or university.
