Pleasanton Teens Invited to Register for Tri-Valley TV Summer Camp
Two camps will be offered this year--one in June and the other in August.

The end of the school year is speeding toward us--it’s time to make reservations for summer camp.
If your son or daughter is a middle or high school student and is thinking about choosing some form of video production for their future career, Tri-Valley TV’s Summer Camp is where they need to be this summer. This unique TV Camp will give your student an overall picture of the production process, help them prepare for related courses in video production and provide an edge for a future in the broadcasting industry.
Now in its seventh year this day camp includes an introduction to studio production, field production, writing, producing and digital video editing. The day camp consists of a total of 20 hours over a week. It is open to middle and high school students in grades 6 – 12. Participants will work within a group to produce a TV program that will air on TV30.

“This is the only video camp available locally that provides students with a real life experience in a working television station,” said Melissa Tench-Stevens, Executive Director at TV30. “The campers edited program will be broadcast in the Tri-Valley and may be viewed all over the world on our website.”
“Before my involvement with TV30 which began with the summer camp, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do career-wise,” commented past TV Camper Brandon. “But after several years of volunteering and learning from the staff at TV30 I’ve decided that video production is my calling.”
Tench-Stevens said, “Brandon was a great TV Camper and has been a terrific volunteer. He will be going to college in Southern California to further pursue his video production career goals. The camp helped him hone his skills and determine what type of career he is interested in pursuing.”
