Pleasanton Welcomes Rebuilt Fire Station

The new $9 million fire Station Number 3 on Santa Rita Road features a number of upgrades, including a centralized apparatus bay.

PLEASANTON, CA — Representatives from the City of Pleasanton and the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department welcomed a newly-rebuilt station at 3200 Santa Rita Road Friday.

“We are so pleased to open our newly-constructed fire station with essential upgrades that will provide greater fire and emergency safety to our community and to our fire personnel,” Pleasanton Mayor Karla Brown said at the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

In January 2021, the nearly 50-year-old station was torn down after a study determined that it was no longer able to provide necessary services, and it would make more financial sense to replace the structure rather than repair it. Firefighters moved into a temporary station on Stoneridge Drive while construction began on the new firehouse.
