Pleasanton Woman Fatally Shot at Pier 14 in San Francisco
The woman was taken to San Francisco General Hospital. Police are asking for anyone with video footage of the incident to call SFPD. WATCH

Police say they’ve detained a person of interest Wednesday evening in connection with a fatal shooting that took the life of a 31-year-old woman on Pier 14 in San Francisco’s South Beach neighborhood.
Around 6:30 p.m. officers responded to the vicinity of Embarcadero and Mission Street and found a woman suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the upper torso. The victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital where she was later pronounced dead, according to police.
Multiple media outlets, including SFGate, reported the victim was from Pleasanton.

Officers flooded the area and detained a subject matching the description of a “possible person of interest” on the corner of Embarcadero and Townsend. That individual is currently being investigated, according to police.
