Pleasanton's Hart Elementary Gets New Principal, Vice Principal
Caroline Fields and Mary Geasa have been appointed to serve as Hart's principal and vice principal, respectively.
PLEASANTON, CA — Kids at Hart Middle School in the Pleasanton Unified School District will have new leadership when they return to campus this fall. During the June 25 regularly scheduled PUSD board meeting, Caroline Fields and Mary Geasa were appointed to serve as Hart's principal and vice principal, respectively.
Over the last five years, Fields had been serving as vice principal at PUSD's Harvest Park Middle School where she oversaw and supported multiple departments, including special education; English language development; counseling; and unified arts, which includes Harvest Park’s Project Lead the Way program.
Fields has also been serving in a leadership role at multiple district school sites and on committees geared toward helping increase communication and improve collaboration in support of student success, according to the PUSD.

Prior to her time at Harvest Park, Fields spent 10 years in the classroom serving students at Foothill High School as a visual arts and social studies teacher.
"We are thrilled to bring Mrs. Fields’ extensive experience and proven leadership as both a teacher and administrator in the district to our Hart Middle School community," a PUSD statement read.

Geasa has served the Hart Middle School community for nearly 20 years as a teacher and intervention specialist. "She is lauded for consistently rising to the occasion as a leader among her Hart colleagues and her strong communication and collaborative skills, all with student success and well-being at the heart of all she does," a district statement read.
In addition to her experience at Hart, Geasa has also served as vice principal at Mohr and Fairlands elementary schools, and as a coach with the Tri-Valley Teacher Induction Program, which works to support and empower teachers as instructional leaders, according to the PUSD.
