Police Log: Child Porn Arrest, Car Break-Ins and More Info on Club Neo Incidents

Notable incidents encountered Jan. 15 to 21.

A 69-year-old Pleasanton man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of possessing and distributing child pornography, according to the Pleasanton Police Department.

Multiple computers purportedly containing illegal images were seized after a search warrant was served at a residence on the 5000 block of Monaco Drive, police said.

The suspect, who appears to be an amateur photographer based on his various web sites, was scheduled for arraignment last week at the Gale-Schenone Hall of Justice in Pleasanton on felony charges of possessing and/or distributing obscene materials depicting minors.

According to court records, he was released from custody after posting $60,000 bail. 

The investigation, referred from the Martinez Police Department, is ongoing, police said.

  • Residential burglary and theft of a 2010 Audi was reported at 9:24 a.m. from Puri Court.
  • A female motorist, 61, was arrested for suspected DUI at 12:03 a.m. on Hopyard and Golden roads.
  • A male motorist, 32, was arrested for driving without a valid license and giving false identification to an officer.
  • A 50-year-old woman was arrested for alleged public intoxication along 400 Old Bernal Avenue at 2:21 p.m.
  • Vandalism was logged at 12:19 p.m. on Stonedale and Maywood drives.
  • A 43-year-old man was arrested for suspected domestic violence at 10:28 p.m. on the 3100 block of Cassia Court.

Friday, Jan. 20

  • Two car break-ins logged: 4:15 p.m. from 1000 Stoneridge Mall Road; and on 7000 Commerce Circle at 11:58 p.m.
  • Vandalism reported at 9:34 a.m. on 5600 West Las Positas Boulevard.
  • DUI arrest of a man, 53, was made on 4800 Bernal Avenue at 11:41 p.m.
  • Theft incident reported on the 4500 block of Shawnee Way at 11:28 a.m.

Thursday, Jan. 19

  • DUI arrest of a male, 45, made at 1:20 a.m. on Valley Avenue at Hansen Drive.
  • Drunk-and-disorderly arrests made at 12:33 a.m. on 3000 Hopyard Road, and at 6:40 p.m. along 6100 Corte Santiago.
  • Theft incident reported from the 500 block of Dolores Place at 9:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Jan. 18

  • Vehicular burglary, with a reported $500 loss of tools, was called in at 1:23 p.m. from a home-improvement store parking lot on the 6000 block of Johnson Drive.
  • Arrest for suspected domestic violence was made of a Pleasanton man, 42, on the 3500 block of Mercato Court at 5:48 p.m.
  • Theft arrest of a male, 25, reported at 8:29 p.m. from 1000 Stoneridge Mall Road. The supect has previous theft convictions from a 2009 incident in Dublin.
  • Report of suspected lewd and lacivious acts upon a minor was made from the 1100 block of Kottinger Drive at 1:21 p.m. No arrests have been made.

Tuesday, Jan. 17

  • Disorderly conduct and theft arrest made of a man, 47,  at 2:32 a.m. along 11900 Dublin Canyon Road. 
  • Three reports filed for property damage and vandalism: at 7:17 a.m. on Newport Street; 9:03 a.m. along 3400 Old Foothill Road; and 3:52 p.m. on 700 Bonita Avenue.
  • A 38-year-old woman was cited for alleged toluene or glue sniffing infractions at 11:24 a.m. along 5500 Springdale Avenue.
  • Thefts reported at 2:55 p.m. from Stoneridge Mall Road, and at 5:36 p.m. and 10:38 p.m. from 4500 Rosewood Drive.
  • An arrest was made of a male motorist, 19, at 4:28 pm. on Foothill Knolls and Prairie drives for suspected DUI, and possession of concentrated marijuana, controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.

Monday, Jan. 16

  • A Pleasanton man, 35, was arrested for suspicion of controlled substance and drug paraphernalia possession and driving on a suspended license at 11:52 a.m. on 5900 Parkside Drive.
  • Two grand theft cases filed: 10:45 a.m. on the 4500 block of Gatetree Circle; and a purported $3,500 loss of a laptop and clothing from 1000 Stoneridge Mall Road at 5:02 p.m.
  • Theft, property damage, vehicular burglary report was filed at 3:12 p.m. on the 3300 block of Busch Road.
  • Car break-in was reported along 1500 Stoneridge Mall Road at 9:08 p.m. The vehicle's windows were reportedly smashed and $550 loss of a briefcase and paperwork cited.
  • A 47-year-old Pleasanton man was arrested for suspected domestic violence on the 5100 block of Genovesio Drive at 10:27 p.m.
  • Public intoxication and battery arrest was made of a Pleasanton male, 18, at 7:50 p.m. along 5000 Owens Drive.
  • Vehicle theft was reported on the 7800 block of Canyon Meadows Circle at 2:39 p.m.

Sunday, Jan. 15

  • Assault with a deadly weapon at 1:21 a.m. at Club Neo parking lot on 4800 Hopyard Road. A 23-year-old Fremont man was shot in the leg.
  • Also at Club Neo, police arrested a male, 22, for alleged property damage and battery of an officer at 2:15 a.m.
  • Then, a suspected public-intoxication arrest was made of a male, 24, at 2:37 a.m. at the same location.
  • An Oakland male, 25, was arrested on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle and property at 1:26 a.m. on the Club Neo property. The arrest was made with assistance from Dublin Police Services. 
  • Stolen vehicle reportedly recovered at 1:23 a.m. on 4800 Hopyard.
  • Burglary logged from an Indian restaurant on the 5100 block of Hopyard at 9:55 a.m. The rear door was reportedly pried open and $6,800 of property stolen, including electronic equipment and alcohol.
  • Theft along 900 Main Street was reported at 5:44 p.m.
