Gary Patrick Salon has served Pleasanton for 31 years.
PLEASANTON, CA — Gary Patrick Salon is closing after 31 years of serving Pleasanton.
Plans to close were announced this week by a stylist on Facebook. The salon could not be reached for comment.
Gary Patrick Salon first opened in Pleasanton in 1989, then opened a location in San Francisco's Financial District in 1995, according to the salon's website. Those locations closed in 2003, at which point the downtown Pleasanton salon opened.

Owner Gary Patrick Gemma has been a hair stylist for three decades and follows in the footsteps of four generations of family in the business, he said on his website. He's been part of fashion shows in Paris, New York and San Francisco.
Gary Patrick Salon is not the first in the Tri-Valley to close. Several other businesses, including two of chef Rodney Worth's restaurants and Pleasanton-based Specialty's Cafe & Bakery, have closed permanently as a result of the pandemic.
