Primrose Bakery — Cookies and Cakes Oh My

Once inside, we were blown away by the vast array of cakes, cookies and other bakery confections.

My mom and I have been on a quest to find some amazing bakeries in the area.

Well, we had to look no further than .  Upon walking up to front door, we found that they do not open till 10 a.m. Luckily we only waited about 15 minutes and were greeted by a friendly staff member and swept inside by the delicious aroma.

Once inside, we were just blown away by the vast array of cakes, cookies and other confections. We looked around for a while and finally settled on some cookies. I got an angry birds piggy cookie ($0.75), which I promptly munched on while cruising the store.

For the road, I picked up a chocolate chip cookie and peanut butter with walnuts for ($0.75 each) These cookies were huge and full of mix-ins but slightly dry and too crumbly.

Then my mom saw some Linzer cookies ($10 for a dozen), which are these amazing jam-filled cookies covered with powdered sugar. These are a family favorite as we are Bohemian and Hungarian and these cookies are very popular in those regions. These cookies are simply delicious and we were glad that the bakery stuck to tradition and only  filled them with either raspberry or apricot filling.

I cannot wait to go back and try some of the yummy cakes, as they looked artfully decorated and probably tasted just as good as they looked. For some great cookies and great-looking cakes in downtown Pleasanton, this is the place to go!
