Public Memorial Service Announced For Pleasanton Police Officer
The service will be held Friday, Oct. 25, at Cornerstone Fellowship in Livermore.

PLEASANTON, CA — A public memorial service to honor Pleasanton Police Officer Kyle Henricksen will be held Friday at Cornerstone Fellowship in Livermore, the Pleasanton Police Department announced.
The church service will begin at 10 a.m., 348 North Canyons Parkway. In lieu of flowers, the Henricksen family is requesting donations be made to the National Law Enforcement Cancer Support Foundation.
Henricksen died Oct. 15 after a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was just 36 years old.

"Kyle left us all with a sense of awe and amazement in his courageous and remarkable fight, defying odds and exhibiting amazing strength with a smile he shared so easily and so frequently with others," Pleasanton Police Chief David Spiller said following news of Henricksen's passing. "Kyle touched us all in ways that we will be forever grateful. Now we reflect on our time with Kyle as a gift in each of our lives."
Henricksen worked for the Alameda County Sheriff's Office for three years before joining the Pleasanton Police Department in January 2009. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer, and their four children — Cohen, 10, Zoey, 12, Alyssa, 18, and Destani, 19.

Two GoFundMe pages have been established in support of the Henricksen family. The first created November 2018 has raised $123,955 as of Monday afternoon; the other created last month has raised nearly $5,000.
