"REDCOATS" Ever on a Sunday

How many of you Pleasantonian’s consider yourselves “Jeopardy Ready”? I’ll restrict the question to just the geeks out there (myself included) who watch “Jeopardy” every night, knowing that you are smarter than the two new contestants and the returning champion with a three day total of $73,800.00…

You know who you are, not only do you watch the show, you howl out each answer (in the form of a question) to allow the rest of your family/friends the sheer enjoyment of understanding just how perceptive and intelligent you are. By the way did you ever notice that by the time final Jeopardy rolls around, you are the only one in the room?

You, me, us, the chosen few, the ‘I secretly know that I’m smarter than you are’ club, the folks who internally solely appreciate Alex Trebek’s perfect intonation of anything French, finally have an outlet for our lonely intellectual frustrations.

Sunday evenings at “Redcoats” the coolest Pub west of the Mississippi, east of Java… “Redcoats” at 336 Saint Mary St. Pleasanton, just off Main St. in downtown Pleasanton has a ‘Trivia Night’ that makes all other Trivia Nights seem, well, Trivial…

Mary Kennard, owner/operator of “Redcoats” is the perfect hostess, the beers are many, the food is genuine and delicious, and the “Trivia” is rockin!!! Ranging from sports to world history to movie gaffs historical… Teams play for bragging rights, and believe me, there are some VERY good competitors! Now it’s all in good fun and everyone has a blast, but everyone and I mean EVERYONE wants to win!!! Which is why I plan to keep returning every Sunday night (For the rest of my life probably) until my team wins! Last week we finished just behind the blind German mutes…
