10th Pleasanton Run For Education Registration Open

The 5-15K races have raised over $1.5 million for extra programming and staff for Pleasanton schools.

PLEASANTON, CA — Registration is now open for the 10th annual Pleasanton Partnerships In Education Foundation’s Run For Education at the Alameda County Fairgrounds on April 24.

Over the course of 10 years, the annual run has raised over $1.5 million that has been used for programming, STEM grants, and extra staff like librarians, onsite technology specialists, school site reading, math support specialists, and more. Proceeds are used to provide extra support to 15 public schools, 14,500 students, and over 9,000 families, according to the event website.

The run normally attracts about 3,000 people. PPIE said that it will follow all local health guidelines as it returns to an in-person event. Participants will be encouraged to wear masks and maintain social distancing.

Early bird registration ends March 15. Right now, prices are $40 for adults running the 5K, $30 for 5K youth, $45 for the 10K, and $50 for the 15K. Click here to register and to learn more about the race.
