Registration Open For Sunday's Run For Education
The 11th Annual Run for Education will raise money for enhanced programming for Pleasanton schools.
PLEASANTON, CA — Registration is open for the Pleasanton Partnerships in Education Foundation’s 11th Annual Run for Education on Sunday, April 30 at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. Since the run started in 2012, it has raised over $1 million to enhance learning experiences for Pleasanton students, according to the race website.
The run raises money for supplemental staff like support counselors, reading/math specialists, librarians and school tech specialists; STEAM grants; and programming for partnerships between students and local businesses.
Sunday’s event starts at 7:50 a.m. at Gate 8 of the Alameda County Fairgrounds, and is open to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. Guests can register for a 5K, 10K, and 2-mile course. Kids aged 3-10 can also participate in a quarter-mile fun run. Race entry includes a short-sleeve t-shirt, commemorative bib number, finisher medal and post race refreshment. The top three finishers per gender will receive special medals.

Registration costs $50 to participate in the 5K ($25 for PUSD employees), $55 to participate in the 10K ($27.50 for PUSD employees), $50 to participate in the 2-mile ($25 for PUSD employees), and $23 for the Kids’ Challenge. Virtual participation is also available for $50, as is online donation.
Prices increase after 11:59 p.m on April 28. Same-day registration is also available.
