REI On Schedule For Fall Opening in Dublin

If the constant lines at the new are any indication, Dublin residents welcome new businesses with open arms.

Just down the street it won't be long before another new business —Recreational Equipment, Inc. — better known as REI, opens its doors.

The company  to open a store at Amador Plaza. Store officials confirmed with Dublin Patch this week that the store is on schedule for a fall opening. No specific date was given. 

The store is a national retailer of outdoor gear and clothing.

The one-story store will be nearly 24,000-square-feet. It will feature gear and apparel to outfit shoppers for camping, climbing, cycling, fitness, hiking, paddling, snow sports and travel. Other East Bay REI locations include Fremont, Berkeley, Brentwood and Concord.

According to a store spokesperson, REI in Dublin will offer a bike shop for quick assemblies and repairs, a seasonal gear rental department and a community space for outdoor classes and events.
