Seasons Are Changing for Meteorologist Roberta Gonzales
Well-known Pleasanton resident, Roberta Gonzales, has a new assignment at CBS 5 television

Meteorologist Roberta Gonzales is taking on a new role at CBS 5.
The well-known Pleasanton resident will be anchoring weekend weathercasts and taking on additional weather reporting responsibilities in the field during the week, according to a press release issued by the San Francisco television station.
Gonzales has been a weathercaster at CBS 5 for more than 15 years. There were published reports last week that she had been fired by the television station, but those reports turned out to be false.

So far, Gonzales has not commented on her new job.
Paul Deanno has been hired as chief meteorologist for CBS 5, effective Aug. 30. He will be on the Monday-through-Friday early evening and late newscasts.

Deanno comes to the Bay Area from KOMO-TV in Seattle, where he
was a meteorologist for the past three years.
“I am very excited both to welcome Paul and to have Roberta in a dynamic new role,” said Dan Rosenheim, CBS 5 vice president and news director. “With Paul, Roberta, and morning weather anchor Lawrence Karnow, we have three exceptionally talented weathercasters, and we will now be the only station in the Bay Area with three full time staff weather anchors.”
