Shakespeare Camp in Brisbane
Kids 7-13 get into the act at the Mission Blue Center, 475 Mission Blue Dr. Aug 3-14, weekdays, 9am-3pm, optional aftercare until 5:30 pm.
This wildly popular program (now in its 23rd season) is both fun and enriching. Campers learn all about the world of Shakespeare and performance from trained theater professionals in a creative and supportive environment. Experience is welcome but not required.
Shakespeare Camp provides training in:
- Shakespeare’s rich language
- Acting and improvisation
- Voice projection and movement
- Stage combat
- Set and Costume design and more!
On the final day, campers utilize their newly developed talents and skills in an abridged performance of Romeo and Juliet, followed by a celebratory cast party! Family and friends are encouraged to attend the show and festivities.
Scripts, materials and supplies for both weeks are all included in the low fee of $524 (or with aftercare, $664). Need-based scholarship assistance is available - call for information. 415-558-0888
