SideTrack Bar + Grill Open In Pleasanton
The new eatery offers gourmet burgers, small plates, and craft beers.

PLEASANTON, CA — A new eatery has opened in downtown Pleasanton. SideTrack Bar + Grill, which is located in the building formerly home to Joy China Cuisine, opened Nov. 12. The restaurant, founded by Todd Utikal and restaurateur Skip Hinsley, serves lunch and dinner. The casual dining eatery boasts two outdoor patios.
The menu features gourmet burgers, salads, sandwiches, small plates, milkshakes, craft beer and cocktails. Bar manager and certified sommelier Jeremy Troupe-Masi leads the beverage program and Victor Escamila, who worked at Blue Gingko and Piatti Italian Restaurant & Bar in Danville, will run the SideTrack kitchen.
The eatery’s name and design, which includes a bar foot rail reclaimed from Niles Canyon Railroad, gives a nod to the historic Transcontinental Railway once located near the building.
