5-Vehicle Crash Cleared On I-580: CHP
Four lanes of traffic were initially blocked by the crash.
PLEASANTON, CA — A five vehicle crash has been cleared from westbound interstate highway 580 in Pleasanton near Santa Rita Road. The injury crash initially blocked four lanes of traffic, prompting a sig-alert by the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported around 6:45 a.m. Thursday. The sig alert was issued shortly before 7 a.m. and lifted an hour later.
At one point, the CHP reported that traffic was moving at just 3 MPH — average walking speed.
