I-680 Fully Open After 9 Hour Cleanup

A big rig spilled its load in a 3 vehicle crash, resulting in a huge cleanup.

PLEASANTON — The CHP reports that southbound Interstate Highway 680 has completely reopened after a big rig crash crash in Pleasanton created a nightmarish morning commute.

A 3-vehicle injury crash happened around 5 a.m. just north of Bernal Road. A big rig flipped onto its side and 27 tons of dirt was spilled onto the road.

All lanes were initially closed. Two lanes reopened late morning, with the final lane open late afternoon.
