Sky Ride Debuts At Alameda County Fairgrounds

Visitors will enjoy an incredible view as they make their way across the fairgrounds in under ten minutes, according to fair officials.

PLEASANTON, CA — A new attraction recently debuted at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton. The highly-anticipated Sky Ride offers 70 passenger gondolas to give visitors a bird’s eye view of the area as they make their way across the fairgrounds in under ten minutes. Each gondola seats up to three people.

Alameda County Fair spokesperson Angel Moore told Patch that the view from the ride is "beautiful."

The slow-speed ride travels at about 140 feet per minute and takes almost nine minutes in each direction. The ride can transport 915 people per hour in one direction. Cost to ride is $5 one direction or $8 for unlimited rides for the day.
