Pleasanton House Fire Extinguished: LPFD

Smoke from the blaze could be seen throughout the Tri-Valley area.

PLEASANTON, CA — Firefighters extinguished a house fire in Pleasanton Saturday morning. The blaze was reported in the 3100 block of Paseo Granada at 9:15 a.m., according to the Pulsepoint phone application.

Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department officials said the homeowner was home at the time the fire erupted and had safely evacuated with the family pets by the time firefighters arrived. Firefighters were able to contain the flames to the attic, saving the rest of the house.

One firefighter suffered a minor injury while battling the blaze. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
