Smoke South Of Pleasanton Coming From Santa Clara Co. Brush Fires

Cal Fire reports three separate brush fires were burning near the Calaveras Reservoir.

TRI-VALLEY, CA — Smoke spotted south of Pleasanton on Friday was coming from multiple brush fires burning along Calaveras Road, near the Calaveras Reservoir, east of Milpitas, according to Cal Fire.

Initially reported around 1 p.m. as a single 2-acre blaze in Santa Clara County, Cal Fire said it was actually three separate fires burning in that area.

As of 2 p.m ., the flames were fully contained and aircraft was being released. However, ground crews will be at the scene for three to four hours.

No structures were threatened and there were no reports of injuries due to the fires.
