Pleasanton Arby’s Closed, Starbucks Likely Replacement
The ubiquitous coffee purveyor has plans for the drive-thru building on Owens Drive.

PLEASANTON, CA — The Arby’s fast-food restaurant on Owens Drive has closed and Starbucks has plans to move in, city officials said. The Starbucks application was submitted following Arby’s abrupt closure. City officials said if the application is approved, exterior updates, including landscaping and other improvements would likely begin later this year with a grand opening in early 2018.
Arby’s was located at 5900 Owens Drive in Pleasanton.
In nearby Dublin, a new pizza restaurant with a unique twist on an old favorite has opened. The Curry Pizza House has moved into the spot previously occupied by Extreme Pizza, which shuttered earlier this year. The new eatery offers Indian/ Italian fusion pizzas, wings and salads on its large menu.
