Stolen Driver's Licenses, Credit Cards Found Thanks To Tracking Device
A theft suspect was arrested following reports of multiple car break-ins in Pleasanton Tuesday.

PLEASANTON, CA — A theft suspect was arrested thanks to an AirTag on a backpack, according to the Pleasanton Police Department.
On Tuesday, the department was notified of multiple car break-ins across Pleasanton, the PPD said. One of the victims told police that their stolen backpack had an AirTag tracking device. Police located it in Dublin, and thanks to a joint effort from the Dublin Police Services, the suspect was found. Police recovered dozens of stolen driver's licenses, passports, credit cards, gift cards, checks, and mail.
The suspect, 28-year-old Eric Alejandro Rosales, was arrested and taken to Santa Rita Jail. He has been charged with grand theft and forgery by the Alameda County District Attorney, according to KTVU.
