PLEASANTON, CA — Stratford Schools, a chain of independent schools, opened a new campus for its 6-8 middle school in Pleasanton Tuesday. Stratford School already has a TK-5 school on Willow Road in Pleasanton, a TK-5 school in Dublin, and locations all over the Bay Area and California.

Tuesday’s ribbon-cutting ceremony of the school on 3800 Stoneridge Drive, which opened in 2021, consisted of musical performances and speeches from current students, and was attended by Mayor Karla Brown, and members of the Pleasanton Police Department and Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce. The school did not do a ribbon cutting when it opened in 2021 due to COVID.

The new campus features freshly renovated classrooms, a multipurpose room, large fields, and an outdoor basketball court. The school says it aims to prepare students “both academically and socially, for admission to top-tier private high schools or advanced placement in public high schools” through “fostering collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity through project-based learning, character building, and STEAM integration.”
