Suspect Sought In Theft Of 57 Laptops; Recognize Him?

Police said he stole the devices, valued at $155,000, over the span of three months from one Pleasanton business. (BREAKING)

PLEASANTON, CA – The Pleasanton Police Department is turning to the public hoping for help with the identification of a man suspected in the theft of 57 laptops valued at $155,000 from a Pleasanton business.

The suspect reportedly entered the commercial establishment on eight different days between April and June -- during "after-work" hours at about 6 p.m. and sometimes multiple times in one day -- then made off with the gear, said Shannon Revel-Whitaker, crime prevention specialist with the Pleasanton PD.

On two additional occasions, it appeared the suspect was scared away, possibly by staff or security in the area, she said.
