Tanush has been an active member and leader of his troop, serving as Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant Junior Scoutmaster, and was a Crew Leader at the Florida Sea Base.
Tanush wrote that “Scouting has made a huge impact on my life. I became a Boy Scout the summer I was entering my freshman year of high school; much later than most scouts, but it immediately became something I looked forward to each week. I am extremely thankful for the supportive scouts and adults in my troop. They made my experience in scouting so amazing. Going to campouts and events with my fellow scouts was nothing short of pure bliss. I loved going to campouts as allowed me to step away from my busy life and focus on my surroundings and friends. Scouting also opened the doors to so many activities I would never have experienced otherwise. I've been Cave Diving, White Water Rafting, Skiing and many more. I've also attended BSA High Adventure like Florida Sea Base where I did 9 days of Scuba Diving and Philmont Scout Ranch where I did a 80 mile backpacking trip. This summer I will be Portaging at Northern Tier in Canada to complete my High Adventure Triple Crown. Scouting as given me to opportunity to learn so many different skills and participate in so many adventures. I will always be thankful for the impact and opportunities it has given me.”

His Eagle project involved the construction of three flower planters, which utilized to create vibrant flower beds. These beds will serve as habitats for a diverse array of native plants to be transplanted throughout the parks in Livermore. This endeavor aligns with the ongoing mission of the Livermore Park and Recreation Department to eradicate invasive species from their parklands and replace them with indigenous flora and fauna, fostering a flourishing and sustainable ecosystem. Additionally, the new fence will enhance the aesthetic appeal of the area while ensuring the safety and preservation of the park's natural beauty.
Tanush graduated from Foothill High School with the class of 2023 and will be attending the University of Boulder for Aerospace Engineering.
