Teacher Of The Year Named In Pleasanton

PLEASANTON, CA — In perfect timing with Teacher Appreciation Week, celebrations are in order at Stratford Middle School in Pleasanton.

Jason Graham is the recipient of The Synopsys Outreach Foundation ACSEF's Teacher of the Year Award. Graham teaches science in grades 6th, 7th and 8th at Stratford.

The outline for the awards lists students recognizing Graham as "helpful, energetic and passionate." The students also credit Graham for helping them "survive application paperwork."

The Synopsys Silicon Valley Science & Technology Outreach Foundation collaborates with Greater Bay Area education stakeholders and community partners to provide equitable and inclusive opportunities in project-based science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), the foundation said.

The Teacher of the Year Awards are given out by county to teachers showing excellence in STEM-based education.
