The Pleasanton Rage 05 “Orange Crush” defense completed another clean slate in their victory over MVLA 05 ECNL this past weekend, by a score of 2-0. The defensive unit made up of, Eva Hofstede, Zoe Franks, Elizabeth Fineberg, Jaden Saucelo, and Lauren Grgurina, were all key contributors to Rage’s third shutout in a row. With one of the toughest defensive units in all of ECNL in 2018/19, Rage is looking to form in the new year.
Siena “Q” Queirolo put one in goal with a beautiful instep punch-in at the end of the first half. Rage then took advantage of wonderful positional passing with the 2nd goal of the match by newly acquired, Sally Binder.
The 16th nationally ranked Rage 05 team takes on the #4th ranked San Juan 05 ECNL on Saturday, at 1:00 PM, at Val Vista fields in Pleasanton. This match will also have ECNL Bay Area ranking implications as San Juan and Rage sit ranked one and two.
