Tri-Valley Hotels Gifted Hand Sanitizer, Thousands Of Masks

Visit Tri-Valley gifted local hotels a membership to the state hotels association, which includes a supply of masks and sanitizer.

TRI-VALLEY, CA — Tri-Valley hotels were gifted masks and hand sanitizer as part of a California Hotel & Lodging Association membership sponsored by Visit Tri-Valley.

The Tri-Valley tourism marketing group paid for the yearlong memberships to help hotels grappling with the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic develop recovery plans, Visit Tri-Valley said in a news release. Hotels are the hardest-hit sector of the hospitality industry, Visit Tri-Valley said.

The CHLA membership includes a distribution of hand sanitizer and 1,000 to 4,000 masks, depending on the size of the hotel. The DoubleTree by Hilton Pleasanton hotel received its distribution this week, Visit Tri-Valley said.

"The outpouring of gratitude from hotels was overwhelming," said Visit Tri-Valley Office Manager Susan Bolt in the news release. "It really felt like we were back as a community, with plenty of laughter and tears."

Hotels will also be eligible to receive the CHLA's Clean & Safe certification, which indicates a hotel has committed to meeting a safety checklist. See which Tri-Valley hotels have been certified here.
