Tri-Valley Photographer Offering Free Headshots

Nina Pomeroy of Pleasanton is one of many photographers across the country stepping up to help unemployed Americans.

PLEASANTON, CA — Pleasanton photographer Nina Pomeroy will be offering free headshots to unemployed Bay Area residents at a Wednesday event in San Francisco.

Pomeroy is one of more than 200 photographers across all 50 states participating in the 10,000 Headshots initiative, which seeks to provide headshots to 10,000 Americans who are currently without work, according to a news release. Headshots often cost about $250.

"Communities throughout the Bay Area have been hit hard by COVID-19 and I was looking for ways to help our neighbors get back on their feet," Pomeroy said in the news release.
