Tri-Valley Television Airing Concussion Conference

Concussion conference will air several times.

TV taped a special two-hour “Conference on Concussion in Sports” organized by the Tri-Valley Schools Medical Advisory Board. This free interactive educational event for Tri-Valley school coaches, athletic trainers, parents, athletes and physicians, took place on June 2, 2012.  The show is currently airing on TV28 on: Mondays and Tuesdays at 4:00 p.m., Thursdays at 3:00 p.m. and Saturdays at 9:30 p.m.

In addition, the Conference can be viewed streaming live on the Tri-Valley TV website at www.trivalleytv.org.

The keynote speaker is world-renowned concussion expert, Dr. Mark Halstead, currently on the executive committee of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ (AAP) Council on Sports Medicine and Fitness

Mark Ibanez, KTVU Sports Director, served as Honorary Spokesperson for the event featuring NFL players and leading experts in concussion management.

The Tri-Valley Schools Medical Advisory Board is comprised of pediatricians and school nurses from Pleasanton, Dublin, Livermore, and Castro Valley.
