PLEASANTON, CA — The Tri-Valley Women’s March in January raised $1,373.24 through t-shirt sales and donations, organizers said. The money will be given to La Familia in Hayward and Tri-Valley Haven in Livermore.
“We are pleased to help two worthy organizations which support mental health and women and families in need,” said Kathy Ellis, a spokesperson for the Tri-Valley Women’s March Action Group, which helped organized the event in concert with Livermore Indivisible, Students for Social Change and OFA East Bay Central.
About 800 people turned out for the march, which was held in Pleasanton on Jan. 19.
