Pleasanton Middle School Vandalized Twice

School officials said the suspects damaged the trash cans, tools, and the school's garden.

PLEASANTON, CA — Staff at Pleasanton Middle School are cleaning up this week after vandals damaged cement garbage receptacles, tools, umbrellas, announcement speakers and the school’s garden. The vandals struck on Saturday and again late Tuesday or early Wednesday, according to the school.

"It’s unfortunate that this vandalism is taking away from our students’ learning environment and will require additional time and resources to fix," school district officials told Patch. "Our schools, and the individuals that serve inside our classrooms, are invaluable parts of the community. This is not how we treat our community."

School officials and police are investigating both cases of vandalism and ask anyone who has information to call the district's anonymous tip-line 925-417-5199.
