Vishnu enjoyed the hands-on outdoor experiences in Scouting, especially camping, backpacking, and learning practical skills like first aid and lifesaving. He valued the opportunity to work as a part of Troop 908, taking leadership roles on trips, and being responsible for others’ safety and planning. Scouting also taught him self-reliance through activities like cooking and problem-solving in outdoor settings. These experiences made leadership and service feel very practical and meaningful.

For his Eagle Scout project, he built two permanent mounting steps in the equestrian area of Sycamore Grove Park. These steps will help riders safely mount and dismount horses, improving accessibility for older riders and others with limited mobility while making the park easier and safer to use. Ranger Seth Eddings said it was one of the largest Eagle projects completed at the park and was very pleased with the good quality of the work and sturdy construction. There were a total of 12 scouts and leaders who helped on the project for a total of 150 hours.
