Volunteers Clean Arroyo, Spruce Up Community Garden
Members of a local service club, along with family and friends, are making the area a better place to live!
PLEASANTON, CA - Pleasanton North Rotarians went all-out last weekend, completing two community service projects.
Have you noticed how clean the arroyo is between the Sports Park and Highway 680? Project participants picked up tennis balls, fast food containers and anything along the banks and scattered in the brush.
The other project was at Sunflower Hill Gardens at Hagemann Ranch in Livermore. According to Larry Smalheiser, "More than 15 Rotarians, family and friends turned out for the great event, concrete pouring and all...The concrete foundation for a big shed was created and concrete was poured, a picnic table was made, squash was planted, weeds were pulled and a great time was had by all."
