Wallet Lost At Mall, Returned By Anonymous Good Samaritan
A Livermore teen lost her wallet while shopping at Stoneridge Shopping Center and it was returned by mail just in time for Christmas.

LIVERMORE, CA — A Livermore teenager who lost her wallet while shopping at a Pleasanton mall earlier this month got a very unexpected gift in the mail on Christmas Eve: the 17-year-old opened an envelope containing her wallet and an anonymous note. Her license, credit card, ATM card and cash were in the wallet, according to Sheri Detlefsen, the girl’s mother.
Taylor Detlefsen went shopping Dec. 14 at Stoneridge Shopping Center and when she got home, she realized she did not have her wallet. Although she immediately called the mall and each of the stores she had visited, the wallet was nowhere to be found.
Ten days later, on Dec. 24, the wallet arrived via the United States Postal Service.

Detlefsen and her daughter said they are grateful for the kind act. Hoping to possibly track down the good Samaritan, Detlefsen shared the story about the sweet gesture in a closed Facebook group.
“If the Good Samaritan is reading this, my daughter would like to say thank you and let him/her know how grateful she is to have her wallet back. She would also like to remind people to always do the right thing, because one day you might need a random act of kindness from a stranger.”
