The NBA champion Golden State Warriors' regular season opener is scheduled for Oct. 27.

The NBA champion Golden State Warriors are hosting their preseason opening game in San Jose this evening. The Warriors host the Toronto Raptors in a game scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the SAP Center in San Jose.
Along with attending the game, Warriors fans in the South Bay also have the opportunity to take a photo with the team’s 2015 NBA Championship Trophy in the San Jose City Hall Rotunda between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. today, according to the team. San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo will present a proclamation to the team at the event thanking them for their commitment to the San Jose community.
The Warriors, who play their regular season games at Oracle Arena in Oakland, have hosted youth camps and educational events for years in South Bay schools, according to the team. The Warriors also played regular season games in San Jose during the 1996-97 season while Oracle Arena was being renovated. The Warriors’ regular season opener is scheduled for Oct. 27, when the team will host the New Orleans Pelicans at Oracle Arena.
