Where Are the Safest Places to Live in California?

With snowy mountains, luscious forests, beautiful beaches, farmlands and metropolitan cities, there is no question why 39 million people call California home.

Looking to move somewhere within this Golden State and wondering where the safest towns are? A recent study by BackgroundCheck.org ranked 50 cities across the state as the Top-50 Safest Cities in California.

“We’ve ranked the safest towns in the state based on FBI violent crime stats and proprietary research data,” the study reports, “While California may be home to eight of the nation’s 50 most populated cities, you may be better off looking at one of these locations to call home.”

Hillsborough holds the top spot on the list while Los Altos came in second. Laguna Woods in Orange County took third place. How did your city rank? Find the full California list here.
