Workday Leader Jacqueline D. Brown To Speak At MLK Legacy Breakfast
The Annual Breakfast at the Hilton Doubletree in Pleasanton honors the legacy of Martin Luther King.
The 24th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Fellowship Breakfast for the Tri-Valley will be held on Monday, January 22nd, 2024 at the Doubletree by Hilton in Pleasanton.
The breakfast is sponsored by the Pleasanton Community of Character Collaborative.
This year’s keynote speaker will be Jacqueline D Brown, a Senior Leader in corporate technology with Workday of Pleasanton.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER
Jacqueline D. Brown is a multi-faceted corporate professional, entrepreneur, author, and certified leadership coach. Her life's mission is deeply rooted in developing leaders who, in turn, cultivate inclusive workplace cultures where every individual's unique perspective is not merely embraced but genuinely valued.

With an impressive tenure of 11 years at Workday in Pleasanton, California, Jacqueline is a founding member of the Black at Workday ERG, serves as a chapter lead for the Women of Color ERG, has previously represented Workday as an ambassador for Year Up and has led underrepresented talent and leadership programs as part of the Workday DEI Accelerator.
As co-founder of Brown Developments Inc, a small business based in Pleasanton, California, that has proudly served the Bay Area for 25 years, her company is dedicated to partnering with businesses to define, develop, and deliver (3Ds of Success) business and DEI strategies with a keen focus on growth, transformation, and sustainable change. She has served as board president for Wardrobe for Opportunity, board member for the USF Black Alumni, and Innovation Tri-Valley DEI Council member. She is excited to join the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce board in January 2024.
Jacqueline and her husband John, who have been married for 26 years, live in the beautiful Livermore Valley. She enjoys walking, hiking, listening to audiobooks, and spending quality time with family and friends. Jacqueline’s journey is a testament to the power of passion, perseverance, and a profound belief in the value of embracing differences.

- Catherine Brown, an elementary school teacher in Dublin.
- Tri-Valley Reach, a nonprofit which provides resources, education, activities, community, and housing opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
