Pleasanton Intersection Reopens After Morning Wreck

Drivers were asked to avoid the area.

PLEASANTON, CA — A busy Pleasanton intersection has reopened Friday morning several hours after an early morning collision blocked several roads. Police temporarily closed northbound First and Neal streets following the crash.

Police said the man was driving on First Street when he suffered some kind of medical emergency and hit two parked cars. No other drivers were involved and he was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The wreck was reported in the 4300 block of Neal Street just after 5 a.m., according to the Pulsepoint phone application. Police and fire crews responded to the scene. Drivers were asked to avoid the area.
