You can Help Pleasanton Students with Scholarships
This year the Pleasanton Community of Character Collaborative honored 5 students with scholarships of $1,000. This scholarship honors former PUSD Board President, Juanita Haugen who passed away from cancer in 2007. The initial scholarships were only two for $500. A BBQ Fundraiser and Auction will be held on August 19 to raise additional funds. If you are reading this, YOU ARE INVITED! The cost is $75 per person. (www.pleasanton.org calendar/events/Aug 19)

If you can’t come, you can help with an auction item, here are a few ideas.
- Make a basket with “stuff” you don’t need.
- Donate a gift certificate or unsold inventory from your business
- Donate a service (photography, tax preparation, window cleaning)
- If you have season tickets, donate a pair of tickets to an athletic event
- If you have a vacation home or time share, donate a week or weekend stay
We have no administrative costs or paid employees, 100% of your donation will go to scholarships. The Community of Character board is donating all the food for the BBQ.
