You've Never Heard "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" Like This

Last weekend marked the first day of Little League baseball for 425 kids in Pleasanton. 41 teams took to the field at the Bernal Sports Park on Saturday morning for the traditional opening day ceremony.
Amador Valley High student Elizabeth Unpingco sang the National Anthem and the PFLL Tee-Ball teams’ spirited rendition of “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” was met with thunderous applause from proud parents in the stands.

“Pleasanton Foothill Little League looks forward to another successful season of bringing kids together to learn baseball, and more importantly teamwork and good sportsmanship,” Chuck Brown President of Pleasanton Foothill Little League said. “In addition to our games, we have a number of events planned to bring us together as a community including our Family Fun Day and Little League A’s Day.”

This season there 120 volunteer coaches.

League officials say they have brought back the popular “Family Fun Day” fundraiser this season. It is scheduled for April 25 between 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bernal Sports Park in Pleasanton.
