• Firefighters find dead body near Pollock Pines brush fire; sheriff investigating (sacbee.com) — Firefighters battling a small brush fire near Pollock Pines discovered a dead body off Bonetti Road, prompting an investigation by the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities, along with Cal Fire and Eldorado National Forest officials, are working to determine what happened after a private timber company first reported smoke in the area Friday morning.
