3 Arrested in Poway DUI Warrant Sweep
The San Diego County Sheriff's Department called the operation a "major countermeasure." Breaking.

POWAY, CA — Three Poway residents were arrested for outstanding drunk driving arrest warrants Saturday morning, and 20 other warrants were cleared and taken off the books, according to sheriff's deputies.
Four deputies and a sergeant conducted a sweep in the city of Poway in an effort to crack down on motorists with outstanding warrants for drunk driving, according to Sgt. David Cheever.
"The San Diego County Sheriff's Department is well aware of the communities' concerns for persons driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs," Cheever said. "The focus of the operation was the apprehension of suspects who have active DUI warrants in the city of Poway."
