Donors can earn e-gift cards and, at select drives, SeaWorld Howl-O-Scream tickets, while helping maintain a stable blood supply for regional hospitals and emergencies.
   

• Poway, California: Fatal Highway 67 Crash Leaves One Dead and Another Critically Injured (theunionstar.com) — A deadly two-vehicle crash on State Route 67 in Poway Thursday morning killed one person, critically injured another, and shut down the highway in both directions for hours, snarling local traffic. Southbound lanes closed at Archie Moore Road and northbound drivers were diverted at Poway Road while the Poway Fire Department and sheriff's deputies responded and began investigating the cause.
