POWAY, CA — Volunteers are needed to deliver weekend food boxes to nearly 200 Poway elementary students. The one-hour shifts begin at 9 a.m. on scheduled Thursdays during the school year and involve loading boxes and making short delivery runs to local campuses.
Drivers meet at Poway Adult School, 13626 Twin Peaks Road, where crews load vehicles and complete delivery routes in about 45 minutes. Larger vehicles such as SUVs and pickups are helpful, but any vehicle is welcome.
Deliveries take place roughly every two weeks from September through May. Please register one slot per vehicle and choose one or multiple dates to help. Sign up here.
